Lemon jam recipe ingredients:
- 1.3 lb (600 g) lemon
- 6.6 cups (1.5 l ) water
- 3.3 lb (1.5 kg) sugar
- 2 teaspoons shredded ginger
Lemon ginger jam recipe instruction:
Wash the lemons and cut them together with the skin into small pieces (remove the lemon pits).
Pour water over lemon pieces and leave them like this over night.
Next day, cook them to boil in low heat for about 1 hour.
Pour sugar into lemons and stir it all the way, so sugar melts. Let it boil for 15 minutes more to thicken and then stir ginger in it.
Canning ginger preserves:
Pour hot fruit jam in clean and warm jam jars and seal them.
